As much as I love printable resources that you can hold in your hand, I am also aware of broader system issues impacting families.
So, today I want to talk about what's out there to support families in Victoria being able to access physical sport activities. I think every family I am currently working with has highlighted a sport or after school activity as a goal for their family. So, I thought I would share this awesome resource that you can access yourself.
Have you got a child aged 0 to 18 years old?
Are you living in Victoria?
Is your child named on a valid Australian Government Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Australian Government Medicare Card.
Then you can apply for the ‘Get Active Vouchers’.
You can apply for more than one voucher if you have more than one eligible child. You can apply for multiple children on one application.
You can find out where you can use the voucher by following this link https://www.getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers/apply-for-vouchers/, click on ‘FIND AN ACTIVITY PROVIDER’ on the left hand side option and filling in your area details.
The voucher is for $200 and can be used to get up to $200 off the registration and membership fee, simply present the voucher code to an approved activity provider (FIND AN ACTIVITY PROVIDER will highlight this). Each voucher has a code that is linked to the approved provider you nominated so it cannot be used anywhere else.
Here is the link to apply
