Children experience change all the time in the context of transitions, some big and some small. However, it doesn't matter what size the transition is, it may be impacting the child.

Creating a transition book with a child using drawings, photos and text to go over what your child's experience is currently, how they feel about it, what the transition is, how they feel about that, what they think will help them, who they have to help them and what they look forward to after the transition.
With the 10 prompts, you will be able to support a child to think about what is and what will be occurring. The child can express how they are feeling and make sense of what's going on inside them.
The child may want to fast forward over events that are occurring or will be occurring. They may not be ready to fill in every page, they can take a pause and can come back to it and continue in their own time with your support and nurturing.
This book opens up space, for you to have conversations with the child and talk about what is happening in a supportive and open way. You can add your own pictures, drawings, text and any memorabilia.
